How to register as a reviewer for RASS

2026-10-17

The Revista ANPPREV de Seguridade Social (RASS) reviews manuscripts through the OJS system under double-blind peer review. To receive review requests, reviewers need an account in the journal's system with the reviewer role. Registration takes about ten minutes.

Requirements
  • A master's or doctoral degree, or recognized expertise in social security, verifiable through the Lattes CV or another public curriculum.
  • An up-to-date ORCID record, including institutional affiliation and recent work.
1. Before you start

If you have already submitted or reviewed for RASS, you already have an account and should not create a new one; simply log in and, if needed, use "Forgot your password?". Have your ORCID iD, the address of your Lattes CV or academic profile and a three- to five-line biography at hand.

2. Create the account
  1. Go to the registration page.
  2. Under Profile, enter your given name, family name, full institution name and country.
  3. Under Login, enter your email, a username in lowercase letters without spaces or accents, and a password of at least six characters.
  4. Check the privacy consent and the option "Yes, I would like to be contacted with requests to review submissions to this journal". Without it, the editors cannot assign reviews to you.
  5. Enter your reviewing interests, pressing Enter after each keyword, complete the reCAPTCHA and click Register.
3. Complete your profile

In the user menu, click Edit Profile and save each tab before moving to the next one.

  • Identity: given and family names with correct accents.
  • Contact: full institution name and working languages.
  • Roles: confirm the Reviewer role and review your interests.
  • Public: biography in the Bio Statement field, Lattes CV or academic profile in the URL field, and ORCID iD in full format https://orcid.org/0000-0000-0000-0000.
4. Short biography

Write in the third person, in three to five lines, with your highest degree, current affiliation and research topics. Fictitious example: "PhD in Law from the University of Brasília. Associate Professor at the Federal University of Goiás. Her research focuses on social security law, consensual dispute resolution and social security public policy."

5. After registration

When a manuscript is assigned to you, the system will email a "Request for review" with a link and deadlines. The review is recorded on the RASS form, with five criteria scored from 0 to 20 points and a reasoned report. Once the review is completed, the journal issues a certificate of reviewer service.
