Anti-plagiarism Policy

RASS maintains an anti-plagiarism policy to ensure the originality of the works it publishes. At editorial screening, before peer review, all manuscripts undergo similarity checking with iThenticate, which identifies matches with previously published works.

The similarity report is analyzed by the editors and is not applied automatically: the nature of the matches is taken into account (properly referenced quotations, legislation, case law, technical expressions). Suspected cases that come to light by other means, such as reviews, internet searches or complaints, are also investigated.

In case of plagiarism, self-plagiarism or redundant publication, the manuscript will be rejected. If the problem is identified after publication, the case will be handled according to COPE guidance and may lead to the retraction of the article.
